Bush to Visit California to See Base, Raise Funds
President Bush will travel to California, Nebraska and Ohio next week on a trip combining visits to military installations with fund-raising efforts for Republican candidates.
The White House announced that Bush will fly to Barstow on Tuesday to watch battlefield maneuvers at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, then attend a fund-raiser that night in Los Angeles for Sen. Pete Wilson, who is running for governor.
He will visit the University of California’s Lawrence Livermore Laboratory on Wednesday before addressing the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. He will then fly East.
