Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, has begun an investigation of its basketball program in response to problems on the team, including reports that players are upset with Coach Tom Abatemarco.

University President Michael F. Ferrari said he decided an investigation was needed after administrators reviewed incidents involving team members, possible violations of “academic honesty policies” and the recent departure of three players as well as the actions of the coaching staff.
