IBM Sued Over Security Device: MIU Automation Corp. of Dallas said Jan. 26 that it had sued International Business Machines Corp. in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles for allegedly selling a personal computer security system based on MIU’s patented product. MIU seeks a preliminary injunction and unspecified damages from IBM for allegedly infringing on its patented “Intra-Lock” security system. MIU claims that IBM announced its own security product based on MIU’s patented technology a few months after withdrawing from talks about a joint marketing venture. An IBM spokesman in Armonk, N.Y., had no comment. (Filed Jan. 26, 1990. Case No. CV90-0404)
