Huntington Park : 5 Candidates Line Up for 3 Openings on City Council

Five candidates, including two incumbents, will vie for three seats on the Huntington Park City Council in the April 10 municipal election, a city spokeswoman said.
Incumbents William P. Cunningham and Jim Roberts, and challengers Raul Perez, Luis Hernandez and Alan Kartsman entered the race before the initial filing deadline on Feb. 1.
That deadline was extended for five days--until last Tuesday--when Councilman Herbert A. Hennes Jr. decided not to seek reelection. No new candidates came forward during the five-day extension period.
