Malibu : Grant for Mountains Trust
The California State Coastal Conservancy has authorized a $60,000 grant to the Mountains Restoration Trust to help restore parts of two coastal canyons in the Santa Monica Mountains.
The money will be used to help restore ecologically sensitive habitat areas in Cold Creek and Tuna canyons, a conservancy spokesman said. The canyons were designated “significant watersheds” by the Malibu-Santa Monica Mountains land-use plan.
