RODEO DRIVE: The Flying U Rodeo will celebrate its 61st year of continuous rodeo roughhousing by returning to the Long Beach Arena Saturday with performances at 1 and 7:30 p.m.

SOCIO-POLITICAL DEBATE: Phyllis Schlafly, a leading woman in American conservative politics, and Sarah Weddington, a leader in women’s rights advocacy for the past 15 years, will meet at Whittier College on Thursday to debate “The Changing Roles of Men and Women.”
