St. Louis Man Kills 2 Stepsons, Wounds Self

ST. LOUIS — A man took his two young stepsons hostage Friday after a dispute with his estranged wife, then fatally shot the boys and wounded himself in the shoulder, police said.
The man was identified as 28-year-old Marcus Atkins. He was listed in stable condition at St. Louis University Hospital.
Police broke down the apartment door after hearing shots and found the dead boys, ages 8 and 5.
