Soviet Officer Killed in Ethiopian Plane Crash

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia —
Ethiopia said Friday that the head of the Soviet military mission here and four senior Ethiopian army officers had been killed in a helicopter crash in the eastern province of Harerge.
The official Ethiopian News Agency said that 17 people, including six Soviets, died when the helicopter smashed into the side of a mountain.
