Why Tax Break at 55?

Share

The over-55, one-time $125,000-tax break is prejudicial and unfair. Why age 55? What’s so special about that age? Why not let the same rules apply, but allow the deduction at age 35? After all, you can be President at 35.

If this deduction was allowed at age 35, think of what it would mean. There would be no loss of income to the government. The housing market would be greatly stimulated. In fact, the whole economy would be helped because the amount of spendable money would increase. You could save it, spend it or invest it. Whatever people did with it would only help a sagging economy.
