Bradshaw Spills; Stanton Wins Supercross Race
Damon Bradshaw lost control of his Yamaha coming out of the final turn of the ninth lap and eventually lost to Jeff Stanton of Sherwood, Mich., Saturday night in the 250cc final of the Camel Supercross Series at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium.
Bradshaw, 17, from Charlotte, N.C., said after the race that he believed he had broken his left ankle in the accident. He was taken to a hospital for X-rays.
In the 125cc main event, Ty Davis of Hesperia took the initial lead and rode it 15 laps to the finish for his first first-place finish in three supercrosses this season.
Davis, fourth in Anaheim and second last week in Houston, leads the series with 65 points.
