Net Income Rises for Players International

Players International Inc. reported $313,000 in net income for the fiscal third quarter that ended Dec. 31, up 53% from the $204,100 in net income a year earlier. Revenues rose 31% to $4.1 million from $3.1 million.

Players International is a Calabasas company that operates Players Club, which provides its 82,000 paying members with discounts to shows, hotels and restaurants in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The company said the improved results in the latest quarter reflected increased renewals of Players Club memberships.

For the nine months that ended Dec. 31, Players earned $3.6 million, more than 12 times the $282,000 it earned in the same period a year earlier. Revenues totaled $12 million, a 39% gain from $8.6 million.
