Arco Says Hola to Spain: Atlantic Richfield Co. has signed a licensing and joint venture agreement with Indalsa, a Madrid-based restaurant operator, to open more than 600 am/pm mini-markets in Spain and Portugal. It marks the first move by am/pm International, an Arco subsidiary, into Europe. Arco signed similar agreements in 1988 with companies in Japan and Taiwan. Arco has more than 700 am/pm convenience stores in the United States.
