School Funds
Well, now I’ve heard everything. They’re going to impose a state tax on money collected in school fund-raising activities (Part A, Feb. 7). As a second grade teacher, I’d like to propose a compromise: We’ll stop having bake sales to provide money for school needs just as soon as those geniuses in Sacramento send us enough money to run the schools adequately without them.
