Immigrants to Israel

In your editorial, you tied Palestinian resistance to massive European Jewish emigration in the 1930s with “condemning countless European Jews to perish in the Holocaust.” Let’s not change history. Blame for the horrors of the Holocuast rest solely and exclusively on the Western conscience; the Holocaust took place in Europe, was carried out by Europeans, and was allowed to happen because Western countries including the United States refused to allow the fleeing Jews into their countries. Ironically, you show that very little has changed since 1930 when, in mentioning current U.S. policy toward Soviet Jewish emigration, you state that “Most would prefer to emigrate to the United States. But U.S. quotas are filled.”
