World IN BRIEF : SPAIN : $2.2 Million Paid to Basques as Ransom

A ransom of about $2.2 million was paid for a kidnaped Spanish businessman held by Basque separatists for 84 days, officials said. Industrialist Adolfo Villoslada Martin, 49, was in good health after being held in a small room, apparently below ground, in Pamplona, 250 miles northeast of Madrid.
