LONDON —
Four children were found dead in their beds Saturday in the town of Basildon and police said they had apparently been strangled.
Kam Tong Ngai, the father of the three boys and one girl aged 4 months to 5 years, discovered the bodies when he came home from his job at a Chinese restaurant, said police in Basildon, about 25 miles east of London.
The mother of the children, Oitai Ngai, a 32-year-old Hong Kong native, was being questioned, police said, but no charges had been filed against her.
