India to Ground Airbuses: India will ground its fleet of new A320 airbuses while experts study the airworthiness of the planes following the crash of an Indian Airlines airbus last week in which 90 people died. Civil Aviation Minister Mohammad Arif Khan said technical snags had since been reported with other airbuses among the remaining 14 so far delivered to India’s domestic carrier by the four-nation West European consortium Airbus Industrie. Khan said Indian Airlines would suspend further airbus deliveries pending the outcome of a preliminary inquiry into the crash.
