Creative Artists Agency Invests in Bank: A partnership affiliated with Hollywood talent firm Creative Artists Agency paid $3.2 million to buy 287,615 shares of stock in National Mercantile Bancorp in Century City as part of a sale of stock by the lender. The stock purchases give the agency nearly 10% of the bank. In addition, various clients and partnerships affiliated with Breslauer, Jacobson, Rutman & Sherman, a business management firm, paid $2.9 million for 261,330 shares. National Mercantile plans to sell another 105,555 shares to other entertainment-related investors.
