Inmate Dies in Hospital
A County Jail inmate who had been hospitalized for the past month died early Sunday, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The inmate, whose name was being withheld late Sunday pending notification of relatives, died at 5:15 a.m. at San Diego Physicians & Surgeons Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since Jan. 10 for treatment of a gastrointestinal problem, according to the sheriff’s spokesman.
