Questions Asked Young Survivor
How can Michael Allensworth (public defender) dismiss such a tragedy by saying “Anybody can speed . . . and lose control . . . “? Anybody can do anything but what we do is a matter of choice. What is even worse are his questions to Billy Cramer and laying such heavy guilt on a child. What 11 year old can tell the difference between 2 seconds and 5-10 seconds? The law of self-preservation is so strong, yet it’s a wonder he could think fast enough to save himself, let alone warn the others. I’m thankful that Billy was spared. He needs to concentrate on learning to live his gift of life for good, and not be made to feel responsible for the loss of the others.
