WASHINGTON — President Bush will travel to New York and California next week for a series of Republican political events, the White House announced today.
Bush will leave Feb. 28 for a Staten Island fund-raising dinner to benefit the congressional campaign of Republican Susan Molinari. He then will fly that evening to San Francisco to stump for Sen. Pete Wilson in his race for governor of California.
He will spend the night in Los Angeles, where he will address a fund-raising event the next day for the Republican Governors’ Assn. and a centennial gala for the California Chamber of Commerce.
On March 2, Bush will travel to Palm Springs, where he will spend the weekend as a guest at the lavish estate of former publisher Walter H. Annenberg.
