Beverly Hills : 2 Receive Keys to the City

A standing-room-only crowd packed the council chambers Tuesday evening to witness a presentation of keys to the city to community leaders Sooky Goldman and George Fenimore.

Goldman has been an activist for education, the homeless and many charitable and civic causes. She is the founder of the Maple Center for family counseling and the William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom, an environmental education center in Franklin Canyon.

Fenimore, a real-estate developer and a former senior vice president of Litton Industries, served as president and director of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and Civic Assn. He has been active in education and such charities as the United Way and the John Douglas French Foundation for Alzheimer’s disease.
