Chrysler Defers Production Cutbacks: Citing improved car sales, Chrysler Corp. has indefinitely deferred plans to slow down assembly lines at its Belvidere, Ill., and Newark, Del., plants. The company also said its seven U.S. car and truck assembly plants will operate without interruption during March.
