Glendora : Hillside Rules Tightened

Share

Guidelines for hillside development were tightened by the City Council Tuesday, with exemptions for subdivisions the city already has approved.

The revisions increase the minimum lot area from 40,000 square feet to 43,560 square feet. The minimum lot width has also been increased from 100 feet to 150 feet for cul-de-sac lots and to 200 feet for all other lots.

Council member David Bodley favored the changes but objected to the exemptions proposed by Mayor Pro Tem Bob Kuhn.

The revisions were prompted by recommendations made in November by a citizens committee that Mayor Leonard Martyns appointed to study hillside preservation.
