Countywide : Park-Ride Service to Bush Rally Offered
Parking and bus service to Santa Ana Stadium will be provided at two parking lots for people attending President Bush’s anti-drug rally Friday.
The rally, sponsored by the Drug Use Is Life Abuse Foundation, will begin about 10:30 a.m. The stadium gates will open at 9 a.m., and no one will be admitted after 11:15. Bush is expected to arrive shortly after noon.
No parking will be available near the stadium, but parking lots at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana and the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove will be open to the public.
The OCTD will provide bus service to the stadium beginning at 8:30 a.m., and return service immediately after the event, which is expected to conclude about 2 p.m.
The bus fare is 85 cents each way, and exact change is required.
Bush Visit President Geroge Bush will arrive at the Santa Ana Bowl Friday about noon. Bus service to the stadium from the off-site parking lots will begin at 8:30 a.m. ad return trips after 2 p.m.
