From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The California Lottery announced a new daily drawing game, beginning Monday, with a $5,000 top prize for matching four out of four playing cards. The game, called Decco, is patterned after the twice-weekly Lotto 6-49 game, but with smaller and more frequent prizes. Televised daily drawings will be aired at 6:56 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Decco will be played on computers at more than 8,000 retail locations across California, lottery officials said. Gamblers will be able to buy a Decco ticket for $1 and select four cards from a standard 52-card deck, one from each suit. If a player matches all four cards, he or she will win $5,000. Three matches wins $50, two matches, $5 and one match wins a replay ticket.
