From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A District of Columbia judge released his legal hold over Dr. Elizabeth Morgan’s passport, bringing her closer to a reunion in New Zealand with the 7-year-old daughter she spirited into hiding more than two years ago. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals is expected to agree with the ruling. Morgan spent more than two years in jail for refusing to produce her daughter, Hilary, for unsupervised visits with her ex-husband, Dr. Eric A. Foretich, whom she accused of sexually molesting the child. Foretich is already in New Zealand seeking authorization to visit Hilary.
