From Times Wire Services

Rosalie Searles may be the luckiest woman ever to have been run over by two cars in one day.

Searles escaped without broken bones or other serious injuries Thursday when she was accidentally run over, first by her husband, then by a fireman responding to the accident, state police said.

Both drivers were charged with driving while intoxicated.

Searles’ misfortune began when she and her husband, Gary Searles, 37, were arguing in their car in this central New York town.

Searles, 30, had her passenger-side door open and somehow fell out onto the road. Searles accidentally hit the gas pedal and ran over his wife’s right leg.

She lay in the road waiting for an ambulance with police when Firefighter Eric J. Barnes, 22, ran over both of her feet.
