A Rainy-Day Forecast: No Boots

Share

The shoe stores in town must believe the song “It Never Rains in California” because there are very few boots to be had. The Rolodex was to turn up just two resources for the protective ped-wear. Selected Sacha London stores have 100% rubber cowboy boots in sparkling, starlet white, now on sale for $19, or Melrose-beat black, not on sale, for $38.

For another look entirely, basic rain boots like those Little Miss Morton Salt wears are available in black patent, royal blue, slicker yellow, and fire-engine red for $22 at Eddie Bauer.

Bauer comes to the rescue again with a pair of outdoorsy, old-fashioned rubbers. Anyone anticipating summer rains might like to know, in July there will be a flash-flood survival kit by Prima, with rubber cowboy boots, a vinyl knapsack and a clear umbrella all for $45 at On Your Feet in Los Angeles.
