Your editorial about Havel’s profound message to Congress was right on. I was so moved by his words that I clipped excerpts from his speech and reread them to anyone who would listen.
Your editorial asked, “ . . . Who among our own leaders could have framed such thoughts?” I’ll tell you who they were. They were Havel’s ghostwriters--Thomas Paine, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. Surely, they must have been sitting in the balcony smiling.
