Stanley L. Hough; Former Production Chief at Fox

Stanley L. Hough, 70, for many years head of production at 20th Century Fox Studios under Richard Zanuck. He was a former baseball player in the old Pacific Coast League before joining his father, Robert Hough, another Fox executive, at the West Los Angeles studio. He also wrote the stories for two Fox films, “Bandolero” and “The Undefeated.” After Zanuck left, Hough formed his own production company and joined CBS Television as a production supervisor on such specials as the two-hour “Gunsmoke” celebratory films. On Feb. 23 of a heart attack in Switzerland where he was skiing with his wife, the former actress Jean Peters.
