Rapid Increase in Population
As per news item of Feb. 22, an increase of 250,000 people per day is frightening and mind-boggling.
Poverty breeds uncontrollable population increase and unchecked population explosion perpetuates poverty. It is a vicious cycle.
Britain, France, Spain, Belgium and Portugal are some of the old colonial powers who ruthlessly exploited their colonies and have done irreparable damage to their economies. Shouldn’t this past colonial powers bear some responsibility for the mess they have left behind in their past colonies and help these poor nations in their struggle against population increase and poverty?
It is in the interest of the whole world that all rich nations join the poor nations in their fight against this population menace.
