From Times staff and wire service reports

Bobby McFerrin usually makes his own sound effects but on Sunday he will have the San Francisco Symphony to back him up. The Grammy-winning singer will conduct Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and also will perform his “headTales,” a composition for voice and cello, with the celebrated cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The program also features McFerrin’s new 10-voice a cappella ensemble, Voicestra.
