A San Diego man has been ordered held without bond on charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Timothy Dale Alexander was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration agents here Monday night.

Tom Green, chief of the U.S. attorney’s Drug Task Force, told U.S. Magistrate Robert Johnson in a bail hearing Tuesday that Alexander was a sophisticated drug trafficker. Green said Alexander bragged to undercover agents that he would kill police if they tried to arrest him.

Green said Alexander planned to manufacture 60 pounds of the drug.
