Reward Rises to $20,000 in Fatal UCLA Shooting

Share

Officials at UCLA Medical Center have doubled the reward for information on last month’s shooting that left one employee dead and another seriously injured.

The center is now offering $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman who killed 22-year-old Diondra Picou on Feb. 19. Another hospital worker, Nora Arellano, 30, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was in fair condition Tuesday.

Homicide detective Andy Monsue said police have not received any calls on the case, but are pursuing several leads. “I think the key to the case lies in someone at the hospital and that’s what we’re trying to draw out,” Monsue said.
