Laemmle Theaters is currently screening all five Oscar-nominated feature-length documentaries. Four of them are being presented on Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Monica 4-Plex in Santa Monica, while “Common Threads: Stories From the Quilt” continues its long-running Sunday 11 a.m. engagement at the Music Hall in Beverly Hills.

Jeffrey Friedman and Robert Epstein’s “Common Threads” is composed of interviews with five people who have lost loved ones to AIDS and who have sought a measure of consolation in participating in the AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Al Reinert’s “For All Mankind,” which has had a regular local run, attempts to convey what it is like to travel to the moon through footage culled from archival materials and from the reminiscences of astronauts heard on the sound track. “For All Mankind” screens at 10:30 a.m.
