Mayor’s Note on Prayers Inspires Varied Reaction
Why doesn’t Tustin Mayor Richard Edgar end the City Council prayer controversy by eliminating these organized prayers altogether? (Clergy Assail Tustin Mayor on Prayer Issue, Feb. 22)
This government endorsement of religion in general is an insult to all who choose not to believe these phony religious myths. Why do those of us who have shed ourselves of the shackles of religious oppression have to be exposed to these trivial displays of god-begging? Leave your superstitions at home, gentlemen. Stop whining to god, think for yourselves, and we will all benefit.
