TOLL COPS: With three toll roads soon to bisect much of South County, sheriff’s officials wondered just who would patrol them. . . . The answer, says William Woollett, executive director of the Transportation Corridor Agencies, is “I don’t know. . . . The CHP does provide enforcement on state highways, and of course these will be state highways.” . . . Still, if the CHP does not, the Sheriff’s Department may explore a proposal to patrol them--for a fee, of course.
