‘Easy Ribs’ Are a Quick and Tasty Pork Dish for Barbecue Parties

Share

“This recipe was given to me by a friend last summer after a barbecue,” Elenore Wong writes. “My friend used baby back ribs, but I find the regular pork spareribs work just as well.”

EASY RIBS

3 to 4 pounds pork spareribs, cut up

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup catsup

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup honey

1 clove garlic, minced

1 small piece ginger, peeled and minced

Place ribs in large pot and add enough water to cover. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 to 45 minutes, then drain. (If desired, reserve broth for soup.)

Combine soy sauce, catsup, brown sugar, honey, garlic and ginger in large glass dish. Marinate ribs in mixture at least 20 minutes or overnight.
