Bergen Brunswig Corp.: The distributor of pharmaceutical and health-care products reported a 29% increase in first-half net income to $30.3 million, compared to the year before. Revenue for the period ended Feb. 28 was up 12% to $2.18 billion. In the fiscal second quarter, the company, which is headquartered in Orange, reported record net income of $15.4 million, 34% higher than a year earlier. The company credited strong growth in its drug business for the good results.
