Philippine Coup Suspect Is Arrested

MANILA —
Philippine troops arrested a rebel army officer in a Manila suburb Thursday.
Maj. Wilhelm Doromal, an explosives expert wanted for his alleged involvement in the attempted coup last December, was captured in his hide-out in Novaliches near the capital, the military said.
Doromal, with a bounty of $22,000 on his head, was the ninth coup leader to be arrested.
