Simmons Comment Draws Attention: Harold C. Simmons, the Texas financier waging a proxy fight against the Lockheed Corp., reportedly said he would sell a major subsidiary if he gets control of the company. Simmons told reporters in Boston that he would put Lockheed Sanders Inc. on the block, according to news reports. However, a spokesman for Simmons said the comments were taken out of context, adding that Simmons indicated a willingness to sell Lockheed Sanders only if he determines that its operations cannot be made more profitable. Lockheed Sanders, a major employer in Nashua, N.H., produces radar-blocking equipment and other electronic equipment.
