Datametrics Corp., a Chatsworth maker of printers and other computer-related equipment, reported a $136,733 profit for its fiscal first quarter that ended Jan. 28, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $1.23 million.

The turnaround came on a 15% increase in Datametrics’ revenue, to $6.64 million from $5.80 million a year ago. Separately, Datametrics said it was awarded two contracts for an Air Force program totaling $8.2 million, the largest single procurement in the company’s history.

The contracts, with Raytheon and Rockwell International, are for the production of computer printers for the Air Force’s MILSTAR navigation program. Datametrics said it will supply 52 printers “with significant production follow-on contracts anticipated.”
