National Technical Systems, a Calabasas engineering and testing-services concern, said it was awarded a three-year, $2.8-million contract from the U.S. Navy.
The contract calls for NTS to test electronic equipment and other components for various weapons systems developed at the Navy’s Weapon Center at China Lake, Calif.
The company noted that the contract lifted its current order backlog to $15.6 million, up 57% from $9.9 million as of Dec. 31.
