Norton Employees Rally: Three thousand workers at the abrasives manufacturer rallied outside City Hall in Worcester, Mass., where John Cahill, chief executive of BTR PLC, the British company that wants to buy Norton for $1.64 billion, was meeting city officials. The protesters fear loss of jobs if the buyout goes through. During the two-hour protest, employees sang “God Bless America,” carried signs reading “Ban the Brits” and “Don’t Sell Out America” and even torched a Union Jack.
