SINGAPORE —
North Korean basketball player Chu Yon Suk was found dead in a swimming pool here, a police spokesman said today.
Her body was spotted on Monday at the bottom of the pool within the North Korean Embassy’s building by a child living there, he said.
Chu, 27, accompanied the North Korean team that took part in the 13th Asian Basketball Championship for Women held in Singapore last week.
The spokesman could give no further details.
