Dehesa
A 29-year-old motorcyclist died after he ran off the road and hit some rocks, a steel pipe and a fence in Dehesa, the California Highway Patrol said Thursday.
Melvin M. Murray of El Cajon was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP said Murray was driving as fast as 100 m.p.h. but lost control on Dehesa Road, about a mile east of Willow Glen Drive, at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, CHP Officer Bob Melton said.
Murray did not have a license to operate a motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, Melton said.
