OXNARD : Police Arrest Man in Obscene-Caller Case
Oxnard police arrested a man suspected of making obscene phone calls almost daily for six months.
Officers arrested Vernon Mooney, 35, of Oxnard on Wednesday at his house, said Sgt. Frank Devorick.
Oxnard police traced the calls to the suspect’s home after the security division of GTE California Inc. put a phone trace on the victim’s line, Devorick said.
The calls were made from September to March.
