City to Jail Drop Suit

YORBA LINDA — This city has followed Anaheim’s lead in dropping a lawsuit to block the construction of a proposed $1-billion county jail in Gypsum Canyon.
City councils in both Anaheim and Yorba Linda voted this week to drop the suit because of a recent Sacramento Superior Court ruling that invalidated Orange County’s plan to use a half-cent sales tax to fund the project.
