IN ENGLISH, PLEASE: Six Eastern European scholars were so intrigued with economic research during their visit this week to Chapman College (A1) that they pleaded for textbooks. . . . “They want books in English, they don’t even want to wait for the translations,” said Chapman’s James L. Doti. . . So on Thursday, Doti obligingly arranged for his New York publisher to ship them six copies of “Econometric Analysis.”
